Brainstorm Blog #2

For the second project checkpoint I will be animating. I’m not sure how much of a brainstorm blog this will be since I already brainstormed this in the past post. I have 3 main animations that I will be working on. Each animation has 3 different lineworks per each part that is going to be animated. I will go into After Effects and make compositions of the moving linework. Then I will put these compositions into one big composition in order to get the individual movements of the things I want to animate.

The first one is of the girl doing her eyeliner in the mirror. I’m gonna make the hand move like she’s doing her eyeliner, and also have her blink. The second one is a girl scrolling on her phone. I’m working on gathering brainrot videos to put behind her phone. The third one is a girl looking at her laptop, I really just need to make her eyes move and make the joint she’s smoking have a smoke effect. I’ll do this using the wave warp modifier in After Effects.

For the rotoscoping I’m doing that on procreate. I’m already two thirds of the way done, and just have one video left to rotoscope. I want to rotoscope more videos, because I’m finding it to be my favorite process. I think I’ll have ample time after animating, so I also want to work on creating more scenes to animate. I’m not sure what exactly else I could add to make the project more powerful, which I could ask during my crit.
