Initially I was stumped thinking about what to do for my animation, but then I saw my roommate's cat playing with her mushroom cat scratcher when it hit me. For my animation I want to animate my roommate’s cat, Panda, jumping through an enchanted forest portal and going on an adventure. The beginning of the film will feature Panda playing before entering the mushroom portal. This is where the animation will begin as she jumps through the portal, falling down until she lands in a flower ring. I will use Animate CC to animate walking clips that will be reused in various parts of the film. Overall, the animation will follow Panda exploring a mystical enchanted forest and encountering different things and people. She first encounters a flower with a bee before the bee joins her on her adventure. The two walk together before encountering a small fairy that will also join them. After the fairy joins Panda and her companions will eventually make their way to a waterfall. The waterfall opens and there’s a mermaid tail, but the camera pans up to reveal it’s a cat-mermaid. Panda and her friends will play with the mermaid before the portal she came from opens up. Panda walks through before continuing her day. I’m excited to make this and use Panda since she’s been such a great addition to my household when my roommate got her. I want to use this animation as a way to say thanks not only to Panda but to my roommate for bringing her into our lives.
